Possibility of a far-reaching cooperation: meeting of the representatives of the Hungarian and Bulgarian National Contact Points
Representatives of the Hungarian and the Bulgarian NCPs had the opportunity for a bilateral meeting at the 'Small Business, Big deal' conference organized by BIAC (OECD Business and Industry Advisory Committee), representing more than 7 million companies, and by the National Association of Hungarian Entrepreneurs and Employers (VOSZ) held in Budapest between 21-23 March, 2022.
This year’s event focused on the challenging situation of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) undergoing fundamental changes due to COVID-19 and the issues of entrepreneurial mindset. During an interactive panel discussion, speakers and participants outlined the areas for future development and discussed OECD best practices that could facilitate the implementation of SME policies in the fields of Responsible Business Conduct, resilience and innovation.
Among the participants were Mr. Yoshiki Takeuchi, OECD Deputy Secretary-General, Mr. László György, PhD State Secretary for Economic Strategy and Regulation in the Hungarian Ministry for Innovation and Technology, and Ms. Milena Angelova - Chief Secretary of the Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association and Vice-President of SGI Europe, along with others.
Head of the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency (BSMEPA) Mr. Boyko Takov initiated a bilateral meeting with the secretary of the Hungarian National Contact Point, Ms. Viktória Füzesi, to exchange experiences and share best practices on the network of National Contact Points. In fact, Bulgaria is taking serious steps to join the OECD and to establish the foundation of Responsible Business Conduct.
