BIAC

Business and Industry Advisory Committee

The Business and Industry Advisory Committee to the OECD (BIAC) represents the national business community of OECD member and observer countries, industry and workers’ cooperatives and sector-specific international experts. In the policy-making processes of OECD it acts on the behalf of the so-called ‘voice of business’. The OECD is the world’s leading policy adviser providing comprehensive recommendations and statistical analysis which is further supported by BIAC’s work.

The following brochure provides an insight to the OECD Guidelines and to the role of National Contact Points concerning questions such as:

  • What is a multinational enterprise?
  • What happens if national law contradicts the recommendations set out in the Guidelines?
  • How to avoid adverse impact: due diligence?
  • What is the Proactive Agenda?
