OECD Watch
OECD Watch: a global network of civil society organisations
OECD Watch is a global network of civil society organisations with more than 130 members worldwide, in more than 50 countries. The organization’s main purpose is to provide information and advice on the application of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises (the Guidelines) and related complaint mechanism, in order to facilitate access to justice and corporate accountability for victims of corporate misconduct. OECD Watch is committed to making the Guidelines more effective by publishing studies to improve the practical application of the Guidelines, consulting with governments and international institutions and supporting the work of civil society organizations.
The ’Get Fit’ study published in June 2021, drew attention to the shortcomings of the Guidelines so as to better meet the original objectives laid down: it assessed whether they remain fit for purpose. The report includes specific proposals for selected parts to be amended in the Guidelines.
